MIRUS PREZIOSI performs laboratory analyses, appraisals, and value estimates on precious items of all kinds, issuing a written certificate.
The analyses are carried out using modern equipment to correctly evaluate the characteristics of the jewels and gems analyzed.

The owner, Dr. Lorenzo Ammirabile, is a gemologist graduated from the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), a guarantee of correctness and seriousness in his analyses, a member of the Italian Gemmologists Association (Reg. no. 541), a civil and criminal expert of the Court of Bologna and an expert registered in the Register of Appraisers and Experts of the Bologna Chamber of Commerce.

Our laboratory uses the following cutting-edge equipment to identify the nature and characteristics of the gems being analyzed:
– trinocular dark field microscope with eyepieces up to 90x magnification
– hydrostatic balance for the evaluation of the specific weight of the buds (SG)
– refractometer

– long wave (LW) and short wave (SW) UV lamp
